How do I register a trailer in Pennsylvania to drive and use on the road?

trailer-registrationHow do I register a trailer in Pennsylvania to drive and use on the road?

I want to use a trailer to haul some things from Pennsylvania to Virginia, but the trailer is not registered. How much does it cost to register in PA to use and travel with inter-state? It is a smaller, two wheeled trailer.

Any other information you need, let me know.

it costs 60 dollars for a 5 year registration in PA for a trailer under 10000 gvw or you can pay 12 dollars a year you can go to a car dealer or tag service to register it if the trailer has brakes on it you will have to have a yearly safety inspection on it also hope this helps

You need to go to your agent, assuming you’re registering this for under 2,000lbs, and get an insurance id card for the vehicle that’s going to be pulling it. If it’s larger than 2Klbs, you need to add it to your policy and get the seperate insurance card for it.

Cost to register, well, I don’t remember, LOL, but it’s not much. As long as you aren’t hauling for a fee, there’s no charge for interstate.
