It is trivial, particularly if the money goes to roads. As I recall, yours are terrible and will need more than an additional penny per gallon to fix.

Any time you raise taxes it’s BAD. No matter what it is.

Is good if it goes to maintaining and upgrading the current infrastructure.

Governor Rendell never met a tax he didn’t like.

On this one though, it might not be a bad idea – not really a lot of money even for people who drive a lot, and heaven knows the PA roads could use improvement. If, of course, that’s what the proposed tax gets used for. His timing could be better though, than to propose a hike on gasoline when prices are at record highs and still going up.

Depends on what that penny will pay for. If they use the extra tax money to fill in the potholes on my street, then sign me up!

Dem Rendell has already taxed Pennsylvanians to death!! His appetite for taxes is endless.

He should be ashamed at what he has done. In the meantime, crime is getting out of control.

He had a “stupid” idea of reducing property taxes by raising income taxes. It may not sound silly but 98% of districts turned it down via referendum! 98%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He had to feel like a fool if he could hardly get districts of his own party to support the idea. It was a HUGE slap in the face to him.

People want real cuts — not simply passing the buck from one person to another.

In the meantime, Rendell subsidizes healthcare for kids who’s parents earn $750,000 per year. Actually, the income has NO LIMIT!!! Why is Rendell helping the super rich? Why isn’t he focusing on poor kids instead of the rich? Even Bill Gates’ kids could qualify for a subsidy thanks to this DEMOCRAT if they lived in PA.

Now Rendell wants to “sell” Interstate-80 even though Pennsylvania did NOT pay for most of the road. Federal taxpayers paid for most of I-80 — not Pennsylvanians. But, Rendell wants to charge tolls to everyone even though all of America paid for it.

That road has been free for over 50 years. Anyone surprised that a Dem wants more money money money ?
